How would you prefer to vote?

VOTE BY MAIL

Here’s how to vote by mail for the Cleveland Mayoral Primary Election.

Cuyahoga County Board of Elections may have already mailed your ballot, however you can request a ballot be sent to you.

1. Download, Complete and Print your vote by mail application

  • Print your full name clearly in Section 1. It is not mandatory to provide your email or phone, but you may do so if you wish. This allows the board of elections to contact you should any issues arise with your application.
  • Fill in your Date of Birth in Section 2.
  • Print your address at which you are registered in Section 3.
  • Sign and date the application in Section 5.

2. Mail your application

Please return your Vote-by-Mail application to:

You can also return your application in person to the Board of Elections, which is located at 2925 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. A secure drop box is located in the parking lot behind the building and is accessible 24 hours a day.

3. Complete & return your ballot

Once you receive your ballot in the mail, complete it and return it to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Your application must be received by noon on the last Saturday before Election Day.

To account for delivery delay, return the application at least seven days before the election. You can also drop your ballot off at the Board of Elections by close of polls on Election Day.

VOTE IN PERSON

Here’s how to vote in person for the Cleveland Mayoral Primary Election.

1. Vote early in-person

You can vote early in person at your county’s early vote center starting right now, at:

2. Vote in-person on September 14

You can vote on September 14th from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM by going to your polling location and asking to vote in the Cleveland Mayoral Primary Election.

  • You will need to bring a valid form of ID – an Ohio Drivers License, State or Military ID will be accepted. You can also use a document that has your current address on it. It can be a bank statement, utility bill or a pay stub.
  • Anyone who is 17 turning 18 by November 2nd can vote in the election as long as you are registered.
